This new forecast aims to size the market potential for virtual reality (VR) devices. It provides unit sales, installed base, and retail revenue breakdowns by type of VR headset, by use case (portable or home), and by region.


  • Ovum expects VR devices volumes to grow 10 folds between 2015 and 2016 to 68 million unit sales, and more than double in the next five years to just below 140 million unit sales.
