Dimension Data executives gave an update on strategy and execution at the company's Perspectives event in mid-March 2017. Ovum believes the strategic roadmap that Dimension Data has scripted for itself will deliver dividends in the medium and long terms for several reasons.

  • Speed and agility are the bywords for many system integrators. Dimension Data’s new CEO, Jason Goodall, clearly understood the critical importance of this model and has brought sweeping changes, with a focus on rationalizing services and "industrializing" them through service delivery platforms.
  • Dimension Data continues to make significant investment in its UC, mobility, and Skype for Business expertise and skills, and it recently closed a deal for what it believes is the largest Skype for Business deployment to date globally. The combination of mobility and its Microsoft expertise into the end-user compute service offer is a very strong statement that it intends to tackle the enablement of a converged workspace for its clients on a holistic basis.
