Introduction

The fifth iteration of Ovum's annual Regulatory Scorecard compares the regulatory environment across Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico.

Highlights

It draws on research from across the regulatory practice and assesses how national regulators are doing and what they need to do to improve their standing.

Features and Benefits

  • Provides recommendations for both national regulatory authorities (NRAs) and policy-makers.
  • Facilitates comparisons of the regulatory environments across the countries studied.
  • Illustrates where each country is strong or weak compared to others within the region.
  • Describes key findings from each area of regulation and presents information in visually interesting ways.

Key questions answered

  • How are the same products and services regulated across countries?
  • How do NRAs compare in terms of regulatory performance and the effectiveness of their activities?
  • What do regulators need to do to improve the regulatory environment in their country?
