Ian Redpath leads Ovum's Optical Networks, Optical Components and Core Switching practise. He heads new research in the rapidly growing data center interconnect (DCI) and intra connect market.
Ian provide focuses on market share, forecasts and thought leadership pieces on optical networks, optical components and DCI. Recent publication highlights have included 100G Transceiver Opportunities in Intra–Data Center Interconnect and Data Center Interconnect Forecast.

In his role as Practice Leader, Ian identified a new stream of research: data center interconnect, and has also grown the company's research into DCI.

He also conducts custom research and consulting for clients who include CSPs, rights-of-way owners and vendors.
