At SAP's Leonardo Live event, Ovum took part in a dedicated IoT analyst day which focused on what SAP, with its large but generally unknown/undisclosed strategic network of partners, can accomplish therein for enterprises.

  • SAP's IoT product portfolio can seem complicated considering all of the subcomponents of the SAP Cloud Platform, many of which are presented as products in their own right. This is an irony, given that the IoT is about simplification and solving complexity for the sake of greater visibility, clarity, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Features and Benefits

  • Analyzes the structure and the functional elements of SAP Leonardo and SAP's IoT platform, as well as how they both fit into SAP's overall product offering.
  • Evaluates SAP's latest IoT innovations for addressing the long tail small business market.

Key questions answered

  • How does a major software vendor like SAP help an enterprise to understand – and then address – its respective IoT opportunity?
  • How is SAP's product portfolio changing to be more flexible and modular, as well as more capable and end-to-end, in order to maximize enterprise engagement?
