Introduction

SAP has announced that it will invest €2bn ($2.24bn) over a five-year period in creating IoT-enabling services for businesses as well as for government bodies. The SAP IoT-specific contract award and deployment with Italy's largest train network Trenitalia was announced on September 29, 2016.
