This report provides an update on Deutsche Telekom Group operations to end-December 2015, covering financial performance, market dynamics, key developments, and strategy as well as the operator's latest product and service launches.

Highlights

  • Revenue for Deutsche Telekom (DT) increased by 10.5% year on year in FY15 to €69.2bn ($75.6bn) and 5% year on year in 4Q15 to €17.9bn. This growth was driven by the US business, which saw revenue increase by 29.1% year on year in 2015 along with strong customer additions.
  • DT had a total of 156.4 million mobile customers and 17.8 million fixed broadband lines across its markets at the end of 2015. The total number of T-Mobile US customers rose by 15% in 2015 to reach 63.3 million by the end of the year.
  • In June 2015, DT became the sole owner of Slovak Telekom after acquiring the remaining 49% of shares. The BT and EE deal was officially completed on January 29, 2016. DT now owns 12% of BT
