This report is an update on the performance of OTE Group operations over the 12 months to end-1Q15. It covers market dynamics and key performance indicators and provides analysis of OTE’s key products and strategic initiatives.


  • OTE commercially launched LTE-A in March 2015 in Athens and Thessaloniki using carrier aggregation technology in the 800MHz and 2.6GHz bands. LTE-A is available to all subscribers with devices supporting the technology, at no additional cost to 4G.
  • Romtelecom and Cosmote Romania rebranded as Telekom Romania in September 2014. To strengthen its position in the Romanian mobile market, Telekom Romania offered quad-play services under the MagentaONE sub-brand. The number of converged services users reached 100,000 in April 2015.
  • OTE offered multiscreen TV apps in Romania and Greece. Multiscreen TV allows operators to increase mobile data usage and in-time data revenues. In Romania it could encourage fixed subscribers to connect to mobile services.
