This presentation analyzes the services and trends that were identified in the Telco Services Innovation Radar: 2015. It is designed to be used in conjunction with the Radar and aims to identify and provide insight into some of the service innovation trends in the telecoms industry.


  • Telcos are focusing on embellishing their core voice, messaging, and data-access services to provide enhanced service integration, enhanced access to content, and enhanced customization of services inside and outside their own service portfolios.
  • In 2015, we tracked a total of 1,042 service launches, compared to 1,125 stories in 2014. In 2H15, the majority of launches continued to be in Europe, but Africa and the Middle East both increased their overall percentage share of the stories compared to 1H15. The category with the most stories was money. This was followed by infotainment, IoT, and TV and video.
