Analysis of 2015 managed services deals from telecoms service providers shows that while telcos have established cloud as a significant delivery platform for services to the enterprise, it has not displaced the wide area network as the key service ingredient in telco-managed contracts. Cloud connectivity may grab the headlines, but WAN is the service still generating volume business.


  • This is the first glimpse of how the shape of the enterprise services deal may have changed in 2015. For this research note, we have analyzed 100 major deals announced by telecoms operators and for which details are publicly available. Ovum’s global deals analysis report 2015, to be published later this year, will examine trends in more detail, based on data for more than 1,000 deals signed by telecoms operators in 2015.
