Introduction

Network & Tower Sharing Analyzer is a database of publicly announced network and tower sharing contracts since 2001. Records can be sorted by date, region/country, network type, nature of contract (JV, divestment, etc.), and infrastructure involved.

Highlights

  • In 4Q15, the majority of contracts were signed in the Asia & Oceania region, followed by Europe and then Middle East & Africa.
  • Most deals identified during 4Q15 involved infrastructure sharing between operators, especially towers and sites, followed by divestment and lease-back deals. Many deals involving infrastructure sharing between operators were from India, since the Indian regulator TRAI has permitted spectrum sharing among the operators.
