Introduction

Bundling deals between music streaming services and telecoms operators have been part of the recorded music distribution sector several years. The number of telecoms services offering music subscription service access continues to rise.

Highlights

  • Since its beginnings in 2009, music bundling has become commonplace in many developed countries and is spreading to other regions. In the 60 or so countries monitored in Ovum’s Bundle Tracker, there were 79 deals between telecoms operators and music streaming and subscription services. Spotify was the leader in terms of the number of deals, followed by Deezer.
