The Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC), the body in charge of copyright legislation and control in the country, has published a draft Copyright Bill as part of a review of Nigeria’s policy and legal copyright protection framework.


  • Although the Copyright Act of 1988 was amended in 1992 and 1999, the NCC said a full review was required because of the significant developments in rights protection both in the international and domestic copyright community, particularly with regards to digital distribution.
