Introduction

This report provides analysis of the contracts announced in the fourth quarter of 2015, with graphical representation of key activity, insight into significant deals, and comparison with activity over the previous 12 months.

Highlights

  • Following a record-breaking third quarter, there was no sign of a reduction in the level of contract activity in the IT services sector in 4Q15. A total of 637 deals were announced, four more than in the previous three months of the year.
  • As in the previous quarter, much of the activity was centered around the public sector, with European deal volumes particularly high.
  • The only three megadeals (contracts valued at $1bn or more) announced during the quarter were awarded by enterprises: Siemens, with Atos; China Mobile, with Nokia Networks; and Evry, with IBM.
