  • Vodafone Group’s revenues fell 2.2% year-on-year in the year ending March 2018 (FY17/18) to €46.6bn ($57.4bn), and its service revenues fell 4.5% to €41.1bn. Its revenues fell by 1.9% YoY in Europe and by 2.6% YoY in Africa, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific (AMAP) in FY17/18.
  • Vodafone and Idea Cellular agreed to merge their operations in March 2017 to form the new leading mobile operator in India. The merger is expected to complete in June 2018. Vodafone also agreed to acquire Liberty Global’s operations in Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Romania for an enterprise value of €18.4bn ($21.8bn) in May 2018.
  • Vodafone had 536 million mobile subscribers worldwide by March 2018, of which 122 million were 4G customers. Vodafone’s fixed broadband customer base grew to 16.1 million (19.7 million including JVs and associates) by the end of March 2018. Germany, Spain, and Italy led, with 6.6 million, 3.3 million, and 2.5 million subscribers, respectively.
