  • After several quarters of decline, China Unicom is finally showing signs of improvement. Its service revenue grew 3.2% YoY, to reach CNY124.1bn at end-1H17.
  • The operator reported growing numbers of billing subscribers, driven by the steady expansion of 4G and MVNO services.
  • Its fixed broadband revenue was CNY46.6bn in 1H17, flat year on year. Both fixed voice revenue and fixed broadband revenue have declined, but the expansion of other businesses, such as ICT and cloud, managed to offset this.
