At SAP's TechEd conference, the company built awareness of SAP Leonardo, its approach to digital transformation that brings together design thinking methodology; technology innovations such as analytics, machine learning, big data, and the Internet of Things; and services to help customers achieve specific business objectives. The TechEd conference focused on two of Leonardo's key technology constituents: blockchain and IoT.


  • SAP Leonardo continues to evolve rapidly, with more accelerators being added to its key technology constituents. The expanded vertical focus now stands at 10, including chemicals, oil and gas, mining, and life sciences as recent additions.
  • Accelerators also target specific lines of business within each vertical. In retail, for example, accelerators are aimed at the lines of business responsible for inventory, logistics, and assets.
