This report is the companion for Ovum's Broadband Bundle Subscription Forecast: 2018–23. It highlights the key predictions from the bundling forecast. It looks at how operators are keeping the fixed broadband bundle relevant to thwart the bundler from downgrading to a cheaper package (the lesser of two evils) or, worse still, dropping their fixed broadband bundle completely.

  • 2018 was the year many operators kick-started the bundle again, after a sluggish 2017 that introduced doubts as to the future of the bundle. Operators are persuading cord-cutters to stay with next-gen bundles.
  • Operators have added bundles with multiple OTT video packs and mobile services. These so-called next-gen bundles are keeping traditional bundlers interested.
  • Ovum's next-gen bundled subscriptions are forecast to grow at 14% CAGR between 2017 and 2023, compared with traditional bundles growing at 2% CAGR.
