Emma de Giacometti is an associate principal analyst at Ovum. She specializes in modelling and quantitative analysis and has recently focused on forecasting demand for the Internet of Things (IoT).
Emma has been working in the telecoms and IoT sector for over 20 years. She started her career as a consultant working on regulation, regional research, and financial modelling with consultancy Analysys Mason. She later moved to an analyst role focused on quantitative analysis and market data and forecasting. She began specializing in market modelling and topic analysis for the Internet of Things market after joining IoT research start-up Machina Research, which was later bought by Gartner.
Emma is a French national and a 20-year UK resident. She holds an engineering degree from Ecole Centrale de Lyon and a postgraduate degree in international affairs from Paris-Dauphine University.
